The Matson Music Box is my vehicle for finally trying to do something with
music again, after many years as a performing musician, and nearly ten
in "semi-retirement." It was Spring, 2005 when I bought some recording
gear, and more than a year later that I actually began using it to work
on an album. Many of these songs were written or conceived 20 or 25
years ago, so it's been a long time coming!

Speaking of the album, Perfect World, is moving along. slowly but
surely, with an expected release in 2008 .... hopefully. I've given up trying
to estimate when I think it will be finished. Life gets in the way. But, be
sure to check out the Latest News links to follow my progress.

It has been great fun and very satisfying to start using this talent again. I
have found new friends and "kindred spirits" as I've been actively using
the internet to collaborate with other musicians long distance. The album
features a couple of them who have played key parts on the different songs.

While one of my fondest dreams would be for this to "go somewhere,"
I'm a realist, so I will find my fullfilment just from getting this finally done ...
something I've wanted to do since my first basement band efforts when I
was 15 or 16 years old.
